America in my perspective

America in my perspective

It's almost a decade now, for me biding in USA and it's not early to set a viewpoint of my own about this unique country. Why I say unique?? May be based on my travel experience, through which I visited different parts of the world and found America unparalleled to any other nation. Its a nation of Multiculturalism, Opportunity, Freedom and People, which are the four robust pillars holding the country's impeccable system and management.

Since time immemorial when Christopher columbus discovered America in 1492, this country has been flooded by the immigrants (especially european), bringing their own cultures and traditions. No other country in this world is built up on so much diversity and multiculturalism. The changing trend in multiculturalism is moving from "melting pot" metaphor to "salad bowl" one, where all the ingredients in the mixture keep their individual characteristics. In the same way, the immigrants are not being blended or assimilated in one pot but rather they are keeping their cultural values and identity intact and transforming America into a multicultural mosaic.

For everyone (especially immigrants ) it's a land of opportunity which presents them myriad of options that they may not have had in their countries. It's a land free from tyranny, racism, persecution and communism. Its a very accepting country which allows anyone with a passion and hard work to achieve their wildest dreams. Words like Hard work, Creativity and Imagination supersedes reservations, casteism, quotas, gender biasness or any kind of prejudices. This warm welcoming, stable country respects you to think out of the box, let your imagination fly high and provide a well-defined infrastructure so to make innovations possible in every sector. It has given umpteen scientists, pioneers, business tycoons and artists to the world.

This country justifies the term freedom through the transparency of democracy existing here, which allows issues to be decided on, by its people while keeping the economy afloat. In real terms we have freedom to think, act and decide. Of course the law enforcement is so remarkable that americans know how to abide by the rules and take the privilege of the real freedom catered by the country. Terms like bureaucracy, corruption might exist here but at people's level they are non- existential. They have freedom of expression, freedom to follow any culture or religion and relish their festivals in the limits of law and order. Especially here, when I compare the road honking from India, I find it rare and a mere gesture to get notice of other's safety instead of sporting the frustration carried from the office or home
.
People are the building blocks of any country and americans possess almost every innate trait required to build a strong stable nation. They are instilled with characteristics like determination, honesty, hard-work, perseverance and most important respect for each other. They feel a sense of personal responsibility towards the society and its development for which they do a lot of volunteering and fund raising participations. They are operating this country like an educated and managing it well through their social and personal behavior. I have seen inschools a lot of parent participation so, to keep parents informed of their child's progress and stay connected with the school and its system. They are imbued of personal hygiene and good manners which can easily be noticed from the cleanliness we see everywhere and the beautiful landscaping all around.

Honor, dignity, freedom, justice, respect, liberty, social responsibility are more than catch phrases in this country. I admire and respect their strong righteous leaders of both past and present who laid a very strong foundation for the country and prepared a land of the free and the home of the brave, for the rest of the world to relish and add value to its growth and development.

Salute! God Bless America!
